Last week I planted a row of winter carrots and beet greens. These are cold weather varieties Napoli (carrots) and Bull's Blood beet greens. I don't have any sprouts in the row yet, but once it sprouts I will then cover the row with a fabric hoop so I can (hopefully) harvest into November and maybe even later. I have a few other greens I will be trying out in my greenhouse also. Red Leaf Lettuce, Claytonia (cold weather green) and a cold weather Arugula variety. I will keep you posted as I go with this project. For now, here are a few videos updating you on the garden and greenhouse. Also one video of Rocco and Rambo the rooster.
Below are a couple of photos of some of the tomato harvest. We have picked triple this amount. I canned pasta sauce out of some of them. Brandywine, Roma, Grape, and Better Boy tomatoes.
